Sun Koshi

‘The River of Gold’ is its name, but unfortunately it’s not full of actual gold.

This is the longest river trip in Nepal in terms of distance covered on the river, and it has been voted one of the top ten rafting trips to do world-wide. An excellent river for your first expedition.

This is a beautiful trip on a big volume river which takes you from the heart of Nepal to the far eastern border with India and the confluence of the Ganges. Along the way you get to experience some epic whitewater with Nepal’s largest rapids - Harkapur 1 & 2. Although boasting the largest rapid in Nepal, there are plenty of quiet sections of this river meaning that this trip caters for all kayaking abilities. It is even possible for novice kayakers to try out kayaking on the quieter sections and learn more about white-water. This warm river allows you to paddle in t-shirt and shorts or even just a swimsuit if you wish.

This river gives you plenty of chance to sit back and relax as you pass through canyons and under refreshing waterfalls. There are bat caves, interesting temples, and beautiful white sandy beaches for setting up camp before sleeping under the stars.
