Upper Seti

Local to Pokhara, this is a classic for the local dirtbag paddler.

Great for playing in a kayak or a raft, the river provides everything to increase those paddling skills and provide a rush everyone needs. This short and sweet river will have you begging to do a second and third lap!

A fantastic little run. The Upper Seti is located 30 minutes north of Pokhara’s lake side. This short and sweet adventure offers 1 and a half hours of non-stop class 3 & 4 rapids with a stunning backdrop of the Annapurna mountain range as you paddle your way down. It is literally a white river - ’seti’ translates as ‘white’, with all the light coloured sediment in the river and the rapids makes this river literally the the whitest river in the world.

The Upper Seti comes down from Machapuchare aka Mount Fishtail and enters a beautiful gorge decorated with a suspension bridge and prayer flags. This coupled with the constant high quality rapids makes this the ultimate half day trip in Nepal – a great finish to a multi-river trip.
